Frequently asked questions
What does the Postdigitalist studio actually do?
We help companies make complex products, markets, and ideas easier to understand. Our work connects research, brand positioning, and strategic communication, giving teams a clearer direction and the language to put it into practice.
What do you mean by “narrative engineering”?
It means working deliberately on how people understand your company: what you do, why it matters, and where you fit in their world. We study your product, audience, and market, then develop a narrative your team can use across sales, marketing, fundraising, and public communication.
Who do you work with?
We work with founders and teams operating in complex markets, including fintech, crypto, emerging technology, and high-stakes B2B. The common thread is a communication challenge: explaining something unfamiliar, building trust, or helping a brand catch up with the business behind it.
Who should be involved?
We usually work directly with founders, since vision is usually downstream from the founding team. Your founding team will collaborate directly with our founding team, Sasha & Aaron.
When should we bring you in?
When your company has changed, but your story hasn’t caught up. You may be entering a new market, preparing to raise capital, repositioning after a pivot, or finding that sales and marketing explain your product differently. We help you work through those decisions and communicate them clearly.
What does a collaboration look like?
We start by understanding the business, the problem, and the people you need to reach. Research informs a series of working sessions with your team, followed by the messaging and materials needed to apply the strategy. The scope depends on what you need to optimize.
What is The Program?
The Program is our focused, four-week brand strategy engagement. It gives founders and teams a structured way to work through unclear positioning or disconnected messaging, moving from research and workshops to practical assets and deployment.
Can you work alongside our internal team or agency?
Yes. We can work with your leadership, marketing, product, and sales teams, as well as existing creative or development partners. Collaboration helps ground the strategy in how your business actually works and gives the people implementing it a shared direction.
How does the studio relate to the Postdigitalist publication?
The studio and publication share an interest in technology, business, and the people shaping them. The publication brings together reporting, analysis, and practitioner perspectives. The studio works directly with companies on their positioning and communication. To discuss a studio project, get in touch and tell us what you’re working through.
